About Liv

My name is Liv Raissi and I am a licensed psychologist and certified ISTDP therapist, psychedelic assisted therapist and ISTDP supervisor. I run Länka retreat center, teach at university and run trainings in ISTDP (pre-core and core training).

I am often described as brave and honest and therefore perhaps not your “typical psychologist”. I have an ability to quickly capture the essence of a problem, and am not afraid to convey truths in a clear and loving way. My driving force is to free people from the locked inner worlds they can be trapped in, if the circumstances for this are right.

I have a strong love for humanity, but am fully aware of the limitations that may exist in helping. I think a good therapist is driven by investigating, understanding and doing what seems like the right thing to do for someone else. It accepts its role as both teacher and disciple and balances between certainty and uncertainty together with patients.

I started my career as a psychologist in 2011 at a PTSD clinic where I worked mainly on the basis of trauma-focused CBT (“prolonged exposure”). In the same year I started my own company and began training in ISTDP as first an ISTDP therapist and then from 2016 as an ISTDP teacher. For a long time I was chairman of the Swedish association for ISTDP and arranged several conferences. From 2021 I immersed myself in psychedelic medications and also took a one-year training through the Psychiatry Institute in Colorado in psychedelic assisted therapy. In the same vein, I moved out into the forest with my partner and started Länka retreat center where people come for talks and retreats.

To me you come to awaken and find your capacity and your hope. You come to change your perception of your reality, so that you can live more truly.
